Pool and Spa Inspection

Why should you get a pool and spa inspection?

A pool and spa inspection is highly advised if the home you are looking at buying has one of these luxuries. As you may know repairing or replacing a pool can be expensive.  Sure you could have a pool or spa company come inspect it but they are only going to look at the pool equipment itself.  An inspection from Gem City Inspections is much more.

We will inspect the following items:

Interior Finish material
Decks and Steps
Water Supply System
Diving Boards
Slides
Hand Rails
Ladders

Pumps
Motors
Blowers
Skimmer
Filters
Drains
Heaters

Safety Controls
Gauges
Visible Piping
Visible Valves
External Bonding
Cleaning sytstem
Cleanliness

Underwater Lighting
GFCI
Electrical Components
Timers
Egress
Child Safety Barriers
Fencing

Does the pool or spa need to be operational at the time of the inspection?

Ideally, yes the pool or spa will need to be operational.  That way we can test for leaks and complete operation.  If the the pool or spa is not operational due to the season or if something is broken or missing a complete inspection cannot be done.  We can still do a limited inspection of these items at your discretion.

A pool or spa is supposed to be for enjoyment and comfort!  Make sure you have them inspected before buying or selling your home!  You can schedule this service as as part of a home inspection package or you can schedule this inspection as a standalone annual service!
